About

How leading hospitals are improving the OR day

Watch leaders from Stanford Health Care and UT Southwestern explain how they are using ambient AI to improve OR documentation, visibility, and scheduling.

Stanford’s review of approximately 290 cases found no statistically significant difference in accuracy between AI-generated and manually documented patient-entry and exit timestamps. This validation supported integrating automated timestamps into Epic, with nurses retaining oversight.

UT Southwestern’s four-week trial reported approximately 2.5 more procedures per OR per month during the intervention. Ten implemented schedule optimizations delivered 15.25 fewer overtime hours and three fewer room-days.

Watch to learn how to:

  • Validate automated OR data and build confidence in its accuracy.

  • Reduce manual documentation while keeping clinicians involved.

  • Find scheduling opportunities within existing rooms and staffing.
